Scandal’s Columbus Short arrested for public intoxication
Columbus Short cannot seem to keep himself out of trouble. The former Scandal star was arrested on the Fourth of July weekend for public intoxication.
The actor was celebrating the holiday in Dallas, Texas when he took things too far and was taken in by police at around 2:00 A.M. on Saturday morning at the Katy Trail Ice House. According to reports, Short was approached by a security guard after trying to walk out without paying his bar tab. The 31-year-old then accused the guard of being racist and got physical before an off duty officer intervened. Neither Short nor his reps have commented on the arrest as of yet.
This isn’t Short’s first run in with the law this year. He already pled not guilty to felony battery charges for an incident in West Hollywood. Reports indicate that Short not only hit his wife, but verbally threatened her life as well. Not too long after, he was fired from the hit ABC show Scandal.
Fans were shocked to hear Harrison Wright would not be returning after they read his statement, “At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble in television today. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast.”
