The Star Wars Rogue One trailer was recently shown to the crowd at the Star Wars Celebration fan festival. Videos of the reveal are being yanked from YouTube, but we have found a copy of a brief clip of the Star Wars Rogue One trailer.

The film is set after Episode III: Revenge of the Sith but before the original 1977 film, Episode IV: A New Hope, and the film will focus on a group of rebel soldiers who are attempting to steal the plans for the Death Star.

The Star Wars Rogue One trailer features Obi-Wan Kenobi’s voice from the original 1977 film saying, “For more than a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times. Before the Empire.”

During his voice-over for the Star Wars Rogue One trailer, a TIE Fighter is seen flying through a forested ravine on a planet before the camera pans up to show the Death Star in the distance, leading to cheers from the audience.

The films is not being made in conjunction with the Star Wars sequels by J.J. Abrams, with Episode VII set for release later this year.

The film will be released Dec. 16, 2016.
